What if simple exercises can give you more joy every day? The joy workout consisting of several specific moves that can improve your mood.

But does it work? The research suggests that movements like bouncing to a beat spinning around with your arms outstretched are not just expressions of joy but they can actually elicit joy. It’s called the joy workout.

Although the research is limited, the data is still there. It shows that movement associated with joy can actually bring you joy if you practice the movements.

Movements like reaching your arms above your head and swaying from side to side rhythmic movements. The hope is that these movements associated with 10 to 30 minutes of exercise is enough to start getting your body to release endorphins.

Those new transmitter or brain hormones that help you feel good are associated with euphoria can relieve stress and reduce your pain. What are other ways besides exercise can release endorphins?
