Some lyrics from Beyoncé’s number one song Break My Soul — “Release your anger/Release your mind/Release your job.” Is she singing about the Great Resignation? Is art imitating life? Or is life imitating art?

One thing for sure, Beyoncé and Big Freedia got me bobbing my head to the catchy house beat.

As the pandemic lifts, people are rethinking what work means to them. They want to be valued by their employers. They want respect. Some are in search of more money. Others are in search of more flexibility. And others want more happiness.
