Amazon opened a new store. It’s called Amazon Style. The store is in Glendale California. The store combines the online experience with shopping in an actual store.
A shopping flashback, first we shopped at stores. Then we shopped online and on our phones. Then the pandemic hit and boy did we shop online. But now people want a real life experience but also the choices offered with online shopping.
At Amazon Style you can buy the endless inventory of the Internet with a unique way to shop. It’s all about the QR code. You shop and scan using QR codes. Using the Amazon shopping app, you scan the QR code to pull up the different sizes, colors and ratings. Sizes range from extra small to double XL.
You can then either choose to send your items to a pickup counter to take home or to a fitting room to try on. Using the QR codes adds clothes to your fitting room. Store employees bring the items to your fitting room.
This shopping experience is a growing trend. New trends like hybrid shopping and multi-channel shopping are popping up. Really what it boils down to is the idea that we can no longer separate online and off-line shopping. The…
